Scott Roggenbuck, ATC, CSCS, POWER Coordinator
Scott graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota with a BA in Sports Medicine in 1998. He obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification in 2004. Scott spent two years in Sheldon, Iowa before moving to Sioux Falls where he was the Certified Athletic Trainer at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School from 2000-08. Scott also coordinated Sanford’s summer POWER program at Roosevelt High School during that same time span. Scott founded the Transition Sports Rehabilitation program for Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He currently serves as the Coordinator of Sanford POWER. 

David Foster, POWER Basketball Academy Instructor
David played basketball at Augustana College where he was named three times All-Conference, as well as named three times All-Academic All-Conference. He was voted the Augustana College Team MVP in 2009-10. David is a member of the 1,000 point club and is second All-Time at Augustana College in 3-pointers made.

Steve Phillips Jr, POWER Baseball Academy Instructor
Steve played professional baseball from 1991-97 including a four year stint in the New York Yankees organization before becoming the Hitting Coach for the “AA & A” affiliate of the Montreal Expos.

Steve managed the Florida Marlins “A” affiliate from 1999-2004. In 2006, he was selected as the Hitting Coach for the “AAA” affiliate of the Florida Marlins where he coached for two years. He has managed or coached numerous Major League Baseball players including: Jason Bay (Boston Red Sox), Grady Sizemore (Cleveland Indians), Dontrelle Willis (Detroit Tigers), Josh Johnson (Florida Marlins) and Chris Coghlan (Florida Marlins).

Steve Bliss, MEd, CSCS
Steve received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska and his Master’s degree from the University of Miami, Florida. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is a former National President of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Currently he is the NSCA South Dakota State Director. In 1991 Steve was named the NSCA Coach of the Year. Steve also is the Workshop Coordinator for the annual Strength & Conditioning Clinic that POWER puts on.

Jim Lloyd, CSCS-PT
Jim received his Bachelor’s degree from Southwest State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer. Jim has trained a number of Sioux Falls Fire Fighters who have competed in the Combat Challenge.

Brad Rilling, CSCS
Brad received his Bachelor’s degree from Black Hills State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified USA Powerlifting State Referee. Brad is the South Dakota USA Powerlifting Records Chair and he is the State Record holder in the powerlifting bench press at 358 lbs in the 165 lbs weight class.

Jesse Haines, CSCS
Jesse received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Jesse was the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Memphis Grizzlies of the NBA in 2003 and 2004. In 1996, Jesse was named the High School Male Athlete if the Year in South Dakota.

Dan Gaeke, CSCS
Dan received his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Iowa. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. In both high school and college he played baseball.

Nick Ovenden, CSCS, ACSM-HFS, TPI-CGFI
Nick received his Bachelor’s degree from Augustana College. He is a Health Fitness Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. As a senior, Nick was the Captain of the Augustana Football Team. Nick recently completed Level 1 certification from Titleist Performance Institute and is a TPI Certified Golf Fitness Instructor (C.G.F.I). Nick also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Amanda Zephier
Amanda received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education at Dakota State University. She taught Physical Education for three years in Bakersfield, CA before returning to South Dakota. She played basketball in high school and college.

Jon Hoksbergen
Jon received his Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Iowa. He wrestled in both high school and college.

Josh Anderson
Josh was a two sport athlete (football and basketball) in High School. He graduated from Minnesota State University – Moorhead in 2007 with a degree in Exercise Science and Minor in Coaching. While there, Josh worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for football and woman’s soccer. During the summer of 2007, he interned as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the University of Minnesota football team, under Mark Hill. In 2007 - 2009, Josh was a guest Strength and Conditioning Coach at University of Notre Dame Speed and Strength Clinic. Josh has spent the last two years as a Health and Fitness Director at the Worthington Area YMCA. While there, he developed (Sports Training for Athletic Response) STAR Program which has now transitioned into POWER.
