South Dakota Asthma Institute

The South Dakota Asthma Institute(SDAI) is a cooperative effort of Sanford Clinic, Sanford USD Medical Center, and the University of South Dakota School of Medicine located at Outpatient Rehab South - 3401 West 49th Street, Suite 2. The SDAI's goal is to provide the region with a resource for comprehensive asthma care including diagnosis, management, education, support services, and/or research opportunities. Individuals of any age who have asthma or suspect they may have asthma can call the SDAI weekdays at 605-328-2300 or email anytime to: receive more information on asthma and get on the mailing list for the bi-monthly newsletter Asthma Airwaves schedule an appointment for individualized asthma education only (1 hour informational sessions - repeated as necessary - for patient and/or family including information on proper medication taking, management, and monitoring techniques) receive information on upcoming group educational opportunities including classes for adults, families, children, or schools and "fun events" such as camps and Super Saturday Programs for children schedule an appointment to see a physician specializing in asthma (may include testing, medication prescriptions, education, consultations, and/or ongoing management)
