Managers - Directors - Leaders

Professionals in the field of childcare focus not only on providing a service to children and families, but also on the development o leadership and management skills.  CHILD Services offers trainings that specifically address the day to day responsibilities of childcare professionals in this position.

These classes help participants develop skills in leading staff members to understand the importance of quality childcare, understanding policies and procedures, and creating interpersonal relationships between families and staff in early childhood programs.

 

 Trainings:

  • Training opportunities for licensed or registered childcare providers.
     
  • Class instructors strive to help caregivers obtain information and confidence in one's ability to provide quality care for children.
     

Technical Assistance:

  • CHILD Staff are available to do an on site observation.  This observation provides the means to develop an action plan to assist child care programs with program improvement efforts.

MDL (Mangers/Directors/Leaders) Classes

Managers, directors and leaders are all people that can easily get stuck in the ‘middle’, in the middle of staff issues, child issues and parent issues. The “MDL” classes are specifically designed to help support those people who frequently feel stuck in the middle.

Coaching & Mentoring-one piece of the teamwork puzzle:  Does your role require you to mentor and coach others in their job? Are you wondering how to be more effective at mentoring & coaching? This class will provide tips & techniques on how to improve your effectiveness.
Pathways Category: Interpersonal Communication and Relationships

Positive Feedback with Parents:  Have you been in the middle of negativity lately? Do you want to get away from it? You can do something about it! Come and learn the power of positive feedback with parents and how to use it to motivate others.

Beyond Satisfaction and Retention:  This class explores the reality of how managing impacts staff satisfaction and retention.
